Slycee Jenkins began as a crazy dream on a high school football
field, late at night, in summertime.
We started as a three-piece band some years after its conception,
and the band then evolved into a four-piece group with a full-time
sound engineer.

Our first album, Razing the Red Fort, was released in 1997.
A mini-masterpiece of low-fi art rock, Razing the Red Fort earned
Slycee Jenkins wide acclaim in the underground rock scene of Boston
and Providence, RI.

Three years later Slycee Jenkins released Slow Down Mr. Grenadine,
an album that saw the band recasting itself as pop rock's last great
hope. While still infused with cynicism and slacker attitude, Slow Down
is full of bright melodies and a strong pop sensibility
.
